Needs Assessment
We provide a set of on-line survey instruments that
help us define the training and education needs of the
company. Some questionnaires are administered before
training begins as we design a customized training
program for the organization while others are
administered at the beginning of a training session so
that trainees appreciate their own understanding and
biases with regard to the topic. Each instrument includes
the background information necessary to understand it,
use it and interpret it. The following are brief
descriptions of the instruments that we use to define the
baseline before training begins:
The evaluation instruments include:
- Diversity Awareness Assessment: This
instrument is used to open a diversity training seminar
and it measures general and business-related knowledge
about issues pertaining to gender, race, disabilities
and culture.
- Cultural Profiles:
- Cross-Cultural Interactive Preference
Profile: Measures the individual's facility in
cross-cultural situations when dealing with people
whose concepts of time, socialization etc., are
different from their own.
- Cultural-Context Inventory (The Effects of
Culture on Behavior and Work Style): This
inventory sheds light on the individual's own
culturally-based behavior and that of others, with
regard to factors such as association, interaction,
time orientation and learning.
- Attitudes Towards Women as
Managers:This instrument was developed to help
people understand their attitudes toward women as
managers and how those affect their behavior.
- Sexual Harassment Survey:This instrument
explores gender differences in perceptions of sexual
harassment.
- Assessment of Workplace and Personal Attitudes
towards HIV/AIDS:This questionnaire measures an
individual's personal attitudes to HIV and AIDS and
assesses the person's perceived risk of being infected
or affected by HIV and/or AIDS.
